Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to JIMEL must follow the following guidelines:

Manuscript Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original and unpublished.

  • Manuscripts should be written in English or Indonesian.

  • Manuscripts must focus on topics related to mathematics education and learning innovation.

  • The manuscript length should be 6–12 pages (or 4000–7000 words).

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should consist of:

  1. Title

  2. Author Name(s) and Affiliation(s)

  3. Abstract (150–250 words)

  4. Keywords (3–5 words)

  5. Introduction

  6. Research Method

  7. Results and Discussion

  8. Conclusion

  9. References

Formatting

  • Manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word.

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • References must follow the APA Style (7th Edition).

  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero.

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Journal System (OJS) of JIMEL.
